To transform the lives of students through biblically-based education is our mission at Oakwood University. It is no secret that we have been doing that now for over 120 years.

But if you haven’t experienced it for yourself, maybe you can take a word from one of our recent grads.

“Oakwood has given me friends for life, reliable mentors, a community that encouraged my spiritual growth and challenges that stretched me intellectually. Academic opportunities have helped me go from an ‘I don’t think I can,’ to an ‘I know that I will’ type of mindset,” said Eunice Nyasani, biochemistry major, class of 2017 (right).

Transformation at Oakwood isn’t just an academic experience — it’s a social and spiritual experience. It takes the student on a journey of self-discovery and emphasizes trust in God. As in all transformation processes, there are periods where it is hard. But through Oakwood’s refining process, our students come out as pure gold, ready to change the world and challenge the status quo.

For this cause, we ask you to consider Oakwood University in your end-of-the-year giving contributions. Every dollar ensures that another life can be transformed. Give to scholarships, special programs like the Aeolians’ South Africa concert trip in 2018, the mission trip to Brazil, Healthy Campus 2020, academic departmental projects like new microscopes in the Biology Department, or the Oakwood Annual Fund. All gifts can be received securely online at  ougiving.com.

You may not know any current Oakwood students, or you may know several, but by giving during this year-end campaign, you invest in the transformative process that changes students’ lives now and for eternity.

Thank you for your generous gifts during this holiday season, and God bless you!
