Oakwood University welcomes Emile D. Parker, MBA, ’83 , as the new Director of Alumni Relations in the Office of Advancement & Development.
Over the last 20 years, he has built a consulting and services company that has grown his expertise in the areas of real estate investing, financial services, and non-profit fundraising and development. Emile has worked with companies and organizations such as Adventist Health Systems, Mariner Healthcare Group, and State Farm Insurance.
Working with several non-profit organizations as a trusted advisor, he is responsible for directly and indirectly helping raise over $1.3 million for different causes and projects within the last few years.
Emile is a passionate and engaged supporter of Oakwood University. He has been the President of the Alma Blackmon Aeolians Alumni Reunion Choir for over 20 years, which has provided scholarships to Oakwood music majors attending graduate school at some of the most prestigious music schools in the world. His desire is to help Oakwood develop a 21st-century Alumni Relations program by creating a culture of total alumni engagement and philanthropy, that will contribute to a strong, positive and fulfilling Oakwood experience for our students, now and for the future.
