Based on recent reports from faculty, staff, and students working and studying in the Peters Music Building, University administration launched an environmental inspection after reports of an unknown smell surfaced. The building was closed, and personnel were relocated until evaluation of the space concluded.

University Administration contracted with an environmental health vendor proficient in HVAC analysis and remediation. These steps are intended to assure that the Peters Music Building remains a safe environment for work and study. Professionals in air quality management have assessed the issues and work has begun to restore air quality to the building.
